Kevin Labanc

A native of Staten Island, New York, Kevin established himself as one of the most dynamic offensive players in CHL during his three years with the Barrie Colts of the OHL. He was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 6th round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. In 2015-16, he led the OHL in scoring with 127 points, was awarded the Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy as the OHL Overage Player of the Year, and was nominated as a finalist for the Red Tilson Trophy for the Most Outstanding Player in the OHL. Kevin currently plays for the San Jose Sharks, where he made his NHL debut on November 8th, 2016 and recorded his first NHL goal on November 17th, 2016 against the St. Louis Blues.

Internationally, Kevin represented the United States at the 2012 World U17 Hockey Challenge in Windsor, Ontario, and won a silver medal at the 2013 IIHF U18 World Championship in the Czech Republic.

On October 10th, 2020, Labanc signed a 4-year, $18.9 million dollar contract extension with the San Jose Sharks.
